Still life Fashion styling

As a follow up from my London trip I began to consider still life stying within fashion. To inform my final outcome i progressed from my initial food research and decided to consider still life styling within the fashion industry. In order to produce structured research I looked at verious archive copies of high end fashion magazines such as Vogue, POP, Arena homme+, Purple, Self Service, V mag and Dazed & Confused.
In the images above I have noted the credited photographers and Stylists as well as the Narrative/Concept behind the shoot.

Whilst in London I had a culinary experiance at a Vietnamese restaurant in Soho. Having worked up somewhat of an appetite during my busy day I ordered a large bowl of Bun-sa Noodles with Chilli Red sea prawns and a Mint & Lemongrass dressing. I recorded the experiance as part of my research and took photographs in order to reference food styling, The images Below document my visit;

Pastries & Cakes@Harrods food Hall

I found both the use of colour and the way in which the pastries and cakes had been displayed to be most interesting. The candy colloured hues of pink, cream and yellow on the frosting along with the bright clazed fruit is somewhat stylish and helps make the cakes look more like pieces of art work as appose to food.

The various colour of cheese as well as the shapes can be considered interesting and a potential idea for my editorial. I also love the differnt colours of wax coatings that can be found upon cheeses such as Edam and Gauda.
